Day 1 - Edinburgh Sightseeing
Arrival in Edinburgh. Enjoy a City Sightseeing Bus Tour and explore the many attractions of this wonderful Capital city.
Day 2 - Edinburgh & the 2008 Military Tattoo
No visit to Edinburgh would be complete without a visit to historic Edinburgh Castle. Over 1000 years of history sit atop the Edinburgh rock and when you visit, you'll see why over a million visitors make their way here each year.
If you're on foot, you'll find Edinburgh's compact size a treat. Explore the cobbled streets and winding lanes of the historic Royal Mile then stroll around the bustling Grassmarket area. packed with independent stores, buzzing bars and fabulous restaurants.
Then, in the evening, we will provide you with tickets for the 2008 Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the most spectacular show in the world. The three-week Tattoo season on the Castle Esplanade is a sell-out every year, but we will ensure that you have excellent tickets for the 10.30pm show with spectacular Fireworks Finale.
Day 3 - Edinburgh Sightseeing
Enjoy a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia on the docks of Leith and follow in the footsteps of Ghandi, Churchill, Mandela and our Royal Family on a tour of this magnificent ship.
If all that activity has left you thirsty enjoy a wee dram or two, and learn all about Scotland's national spirit at the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre.
Day 4 - Onward Travel
Depart Edinburgh.
The Edinburgh Festival 2008
Each August the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest arts festival in the world, dominates the city and attracts hordes of tourists and spectators. Taking over theatres, pubs, churches and just about every other performance space in the city, The Fringe is one of several festivals going on simultaneously - including film, book and jazz festivals - which all add up to what its called the Edinburgh Festival.
