island stag weekend From £ 210.00 per person Goatfell, Isle of Arran This must be the most unique Stag Weekend in the UK - if you really want to impress the Groom and his friends then why not choose our Scottish Island Stag Weekend? Set on the spectacular Isle of Arran on the West Coast of Scotland this is the ultimate "get away from it all" weekend. Arran is known as "Scotland in miniature" due to its spectacular scenery, magnificent golf courses and diverse countryside which has made it one of the world's most natural adventure playgrounds. Being Scotland's most southerly island, Arran is easily accessible from Glasgow and, for those travelling from the south, Prestwick Airport. From your base in the capital of Brodick, with its fantastic views of Goatfell, this weekend includes 2 nights hotel accommodation, 2 adrenaline-fuelled activities, and return transport to and from Arran by 440 hp Powerboat !! ACCOMMODATION Your accommodation for the weekend will be a 2/3 star hotel, centrally located within Brodick overlooking the Firth of Clyde. Brodick has many lively pubs and restaurants and we will advise you on the best places to eat and drink for your time here. This package is based on 2 people sharing a twin en-suite room and includes a full Scottish breakfast each morning. ACTIVITIES Friday Night You could decide to take the leisurely 1 hour ferry ride across the Firth to Arran, but this package includes transport on board the "Arran Adventurer" Powerboat. We will charter this 440 hp boat exclusively for your group -we ask that you make your own way to the harbour at Ardrossan (see below) where you will be collected on the Friday evening and powered across the Firth to your destination for the weekend. Saturday Morning - Canyoning This morning your group will experience the spectacular and ultimate freshwater adventure of Canyoning. You will be transported into the nearby hills where you will abseil down the 2 highest waterfalls on Arran, leap into plunge pools and relax in natural jacuzzis. Canyoning is not for the faint hearted but is sure to provide you with some fantastic memories, and you will be supplied with all the necessary equipment including helmets, buoyancy aids, and wetsuits. Saturday Afternoon - Distillery Visit by Powerboat After a quick lunch in Brodick it will then be time to take a trip to sample Scotland's most famous export. Arran boasts it's very own Whisky Distillery located near Lochranza Bay in the north of the island. You will be transported from Brodick by Powerboat where you'll learn about whisky making from professionally trained experts before sampling the local product. The journey back will allow you to see some of the island's spectacular scenery, as the boat takes you past the mountainous peaks and jagged coastline that make Arran so unique. Saturday Evening On the Saturday night you will have the opportunity of visiting some of the island's many hostelries - we will provide you with details of where to eat and drink in Brodick, and advise you if there is any live music on for the weekend you are visiting. Sunday Morning After a full day of activities on Saturday we have left your final morning in Arran free. However, if you'd like us to organise a further activity or event then just let us know - perhaps a round of golf at one of the island's 7 courses, or mountain biking in the surrounding forests? When you're ready to depart your Powerboat will again transport you back across the Firth to Ardrossan - a memorable and unique way to finish your weekend. GETTING TO THE ISLE OF ARRAN The Isle of Arran lies off the south-west coast of Scotland and is the most accessible of all the Western Isles. Whilst we have included transport by Powerboat for getting you to and from the island in your package you may prefer to travel by Calmac ferry - they operate several sailings a day from Ardrossan to Brodick. Just ask us to include this in your package and we'd be delighted to arrange it for you. Ardrossan is located on the Ayrshire coast and is well serviced by train connections from Glasgow and is only a 30 minute taxi ride from Prestwick Airport. Ryanair flies into Prestwick from many destinations including Stansted Airport, so you could leave London on the 16.50 Ryanair flight and be on the beautiful Isle of Arran by 19.30 !
