Day 1 & 2 - Loch Awe
Arrival in Edinburgh or Glasgow. Collect your hire car & travel north to your destination on the shores of Loch Awe to spend the first 2 nights of your Scottish Honeymoon.
Your destination is a wildly romantic country house located in a remote place of quiet tranquility and almost surreal natural beauty. It sits overlooking the mysterious islands and crannogs of Loch Awe, in deeply wooded gardens teeming with wildlife. The restaurant is one of the best in the Highlands where everything from the bread to the chocolates is made fresh and makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Enjoy some of Scotland's best walking along forest and loch-side trails or take a boat out fishing, sailing or simply exploring the many islands of Loch Awe.
Day 3, 4 & 5 - Isle of Mull
Your ferry will depart Oban bound for the majestic Isle of Mull, your destination for the next 2 nights. Scotland has some of the most beautiful island retreats in the world, and Mull is one of them.
Your elegant small hotel is a haven of genuine hospitality, well-appointed comfortable bedrooms and exceptional cuisine - every bit a genuine home-from-home as much as a small upmarket hotel.
Tobermory, the island's small Capital is well worth exploring as is the nearby island of Iona. Known as 'The Cradle of Christianity', Iona has been receiving pilgrims for 14 centuries. It really is a special place with impossibly turquoise waters, dazzling beaches and coves. Cross over to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, Britain's most westerly point & enjoy wonderful views to the small isles of Rum, Eigg & Muck.
Day 6 & 7 - The Trossachs
Leave the Isle of Mull and take a short boat trip back across the water to Oban.Your route will take you through spectacular Glencoe to your final destination in the Scottish lakeland.
Four-miles down a single-track lane along the wooded banks of Loch Voil you’ll find your final hotel. A vibrant splash of pink against the surrounding mountains, this 18th-century farmhouse and steadings is now a cosy boutique hotel and restaurant with fourteen individually designed rooms.
The Trossachs is great walking country where you can bag a Munro by scaling the Mountain tops or enjoy easier hill or loch-side tracks. There are numerous wonderfully scenic drives all around you or take a leisurely trip on a paddle steamer on nearby Loch Katrine.
Day 8 - Onward Travel
It is then a short journey to Edinburgh or Glasgow to return your car before your onward travel.
