Day 1, 2 & 3 - Inverness & the Moray Coast
Arrival in Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands. Collect your hire car & make the short journey along the Moray Coast to your destination for the first 3 nights of your Honeymoon.

Day 4, 5 & 6 - Isle of Skye
Leave the Moray Coast behind & follow the shores of Loch Ness towards the most famous of Scotland's castles, Eilean Donan.
Crossing the bridge to the Isle of Skye, your accommodation is a stylish, contemporary country house hotel situated in Sleat, the 'Garden of Skye'. The delightful cosy bedrooms have been lovingly restored and enjoy magnificent views over the sea to the mainland hills beyond.
The town of Portree, with its attractive painted harbour, is well worth a visit, as is historic Dunvegan Castle & Gardens in the north-west. Sample some fine Island whiskies or climb aboard a fabulous cruise which will take you into the heart of the Cuillin Mountains. Skye is also dotted with craft shops and galleries where you can mark your visit with a special souvenir.
There are plenty of walking opportunities throughout the island, from the eerie Old Man of Storr and the dramatic cliffs of the Quirang on the northerly Trotternish Peninsula, to the neighbouring Island of Raasay, with its stunning views back to the Cuillins.
Day 7 - Western Highlands
Leave the Isle of Skye behind and catch the ferry back across the water to the mainland & into the heart of the Western Highlands.
From its elevated and secluded location your accommodation for the final night of your Honeymoon enjoys wonderful views across Loch Linnhe where evening summer skies provide spectacular sunsets. This Victorian B&B has been lovingly restored & makes you feel that the hustle and bustle of daily life is a world away. Bedrooms are individually decorated and generously equipped and most have inspirational views to the loch and mountains.
Day 8 - Onward Travel
You have a choice of return options. Travel north up the Great Glen retracing your steps to Inverness and return your hire car at Inverness Airport.
Or travel south through spectacular Glencoe where you may wish to extend your holiday in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. |
