Day 1 - Inverness
Arrival in Inverness. Begin with a visit to mysterious Loch Ness or enjoy a tour of the city and the fabulous views from Inverness Castle.
Day 2 & 3 - Wester Ross
Collect your car and and travel to this idyllic corner of north-west Scotland. Picturesque fishing villages and crofting townships are scattered all along the coast with beaches and mountains all around you.
During your time here, enjoy one of the most spectacular road trips over the Bealach nam Bo; the views of the Cuillin Mountains of Skye are spectacular and the beauty and grandeur of this rugged coastline is just breath-taking. Visit Inverewe Gardens, walk along miles of deserted sandy beaches or enjoy some of the best hill walking in the ancient mountains of Torridon.
Day 4 - Ullapool & Loch Inver
Your next destination in the north is Ullapool, a pretty fishing village and the largest settlement in Wester Ross. From Ullapool take a boat trip to the magical Summer Isles or an exhilarating walk to the summit of Stac Pollaidh for stunning views of the Islands and western sea-board.
Day 5, 6 & 7 - Durness, Cape Wrath & the Far North
A wonderfully scenic and winding road passes secluded beaches, crofting communities and bays to your destination in the Far North, the spectacularly located village of Durness. Tucked away behind several gorgeous white sandy beaches Durness is a magical spot and is a great base for relaxing beachfront strolls.
Enjoy a bracing clifftop walk to the Old Man of Storr, perhaps the best of the sea stacks on the mainland. Walk into Sandwood Bay, one our most beautiful beaches or a guided trip to Cape Wrath, the most north-westerly point in Scotland. See some of Britain's highest cliffs, seabirds and wildlife and the spectacular Cape Wrath lighthouse.
Day 8 - Return to Inverness
Descend through a wild and vastly un-inhabited area back to the Highland Capital.
