
Baile Mor, Iona
Day 1 - Loch Lomond
Arrival in Glasgow. Collect your car before travelling to your first destination close to the shores of Loch Lomond.
Day 2, 3 & 4 - Oban
Enjoy a boat trip on the loch or a trip on a sea-plane before a wonderfully scenic journey takes you to the west coast. Oban, the beautiful hub of the Southern Hebrides is your destination for the next 3 nights.
The West coast of Scotland is exceptional for wildlife watching & is home to an astonishing variety of seabirds and a hotspot for sightings of porpoises, dolphins and whales. Along the shoreline you may see grey seals, common seals and otters while on the rugged slopes above, deer and feral goats roam. Eagles, buzzards and peregrine falcons can be seen circling above.
From your base in Oban enjoy a wildlife boat trip and a cruise to the infamous Corryvreckan Whirlpool. Whether you wish to climb mountains, stroll on the beach or just relax you wil enjoy your stay on the west coast.
Day 5, 6 & 7 - Isle of Mull
Your ferry will depart Oban bound for the majestic Isle of Mull. Scotland is home to some of the most beautiful island retreats in the world, and Mull is one of them. Mountains rise from the sea to over 3000ft and there are lovely sandy beaches to enjoy.
The island's capital Tobermory is well worth exploring as is the nearby island of Iona. Known as 'The Cradle of Christianity', Iona has been receiving pilgrims for 14 centuries. It really is a special place with impossibly turquoise waters, dazzling beaches and coves. Cross over to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, Britain's most westerly point & enjoy wonderful views to the small isles of Rum, Eigg & Muck.
During your time on the island we highly recommend you enjoy a whale & dolphin watching trip - these wonderful experiences are available to suit everyone from families and complete beginners to salty sea dogs.
Day 8 - Onward Travel
Leave the Isle of Mull by ferry and take a short boat trip across the water to Oban.Your route will take you back along the shores of Loch Lomond where your West Coast holiday will end.
