Tighnabruaich Loch Awe - a breath taking Hotel, in a story book setting. The staff were so friendly and the food unbelieveable. The ghillie we had for the day Alastair MacKellar was a dear friend by the end of the day. We will return and already we tell everyone about it.

Tobermory and the Highland Hotel - the food was absolutely breathtaking and a match for Tighnabruaich. The friendly greeting in the Hotel created a wonderful setting for calm comfort and relaxation.

Kyles of Bute - the hotel was fine and a breathtaking location.

Edinburgh - a busy cosmopolitan Hotel catering for the guests with quality. We loved our stay in Edinburgh just catching the end of the Festival.

“We had a fantastic time in Scotland!  Your arrangements and accommodations were superb!

Each Guest House was comfortable, friendly, and unique.  The hosts were uniformly helpful and produced great breakfasts.  Perhaps our favourite was Greenacres in Portree.  The first night we were there, there was a fire outside the city and a power outage at about 6pm.  Of course most of the town restaurants were then closed due to the lack of power.  We found a store still open and purchased some wine, cheese, and crackers and returned to the back patio at Greenacres where we ate "dinner" and watched the birds and boats in the Harbour.  It was lovely!

The weather during our stay (July 16-27) was incredible!  It was sunny and in the 80's each day and cool at night.  We were prepared for 50's and rain, but we only needed raincoats one afternoon for a brief shower in Portree.  It was more like California than Scotland.  We wouldn't have minded the rain or clouds, but the clear mountain views were spectacular!

All in all it was a great trip and we thank you for your efforts and recommendations.  We'll probably return someday and we will contact you then for a second trip perhaps further north to John O'Groats and maybe the Orkneys.
